More information about Sendai Donko Kokeshi
Beautiful natural wood donko kokeshi. She’s quite big & heavy. There is a poem on this kokeshi but it is too stylized for me to translate.
Condition: GUVC. (Good Used Vintage Condition). Please note that most of my kokeshi are pre-owned, vintage items, so signs of age and wear should be expected. This can include fading, darkening, staining, peeling, minor dents & scratches.
Amateur inspection: I have not noted any damage. There is light age related staining, darkening, uneven coloring and a small, flat knot on the back. All consistent with vintage Kokeshi.
Please check the photos carefully (zoom in) for any noted conditions as well as to check for additional conditions, for which you may be sensitive, before purchasing. Due to lighting and viewing devices, colors may be different.
